Thought I would open Pandora's box :p

Do people think we will get an update this week or is it going to be end of month/beginning of September?

i would say considering the amount of warning we got of the standard beta release we wont be seeing a new build any time soon™ keep a close eye on the newsletter though as they will announce it there.

Just by a guess, I think the 2nd September could be the next release date.

It would make sense to have ~1 month between bigger releases and just do small patches between them.

Michael said they'd be discussing what will be going into the next release once everyone gets back from Gamescom.
I'm pretty sure (but happy to be proved wrong) that the time between discussing what goes in the next release and the next release won't be as short as a couple of days.

In the past it seems to have gone like this
Big release, a number of smaller bug fix releases, long wait, smaller content release, bug fixes, long wait, big release.

Great idea! But we should also spread untanable rumours.

BTW, I happened to meet David Braben at the Gamescom this weekend, and he told me that we should see the next update in two weeks.

He also told me that it will contain a new model for the FW-190 gunsight, with a revised front bar.

A friend of mine actually saw a picture of some person at gamescom!
This can only mean one thing!!!one11
Players will be able to join a jury, judging docking skills of other players. The docking party will actually see them lined up on the edge of their pad, holding up numbers. I CAN'T wait for this one, should come with the next patch (probably)!!

( I'm soooo sorry, just couldn't resist :rolleyes: )

Next week would be the very earliest we would see any new stuff since FD were off gallivanting around various parts of Europe last week

I heard that from a bloke in the pub that crafting and guilds are due in tomorrow along with the special Unicorn destroyer sword of power :)

See I completely know the answer to this one.
My cousin once removed, heard her cousin 5 times removed, who spoke to her half-brothers sister friend, who's father met a guy down the pub, who's darts matches partner's, bus driver wife, who is a bingo caller at the local old folks, who spoke to a male nurse there who is a personal friend of all the developers and bosses of ED, told them that David said the full game will be released in 10 minutes time.

See I know this stuff.:rolleyes:
