Next update wishlist

3 things for me

1. Always be allowed to defend yourself, if a 'clean' ship fires first on you, you should always beable to return fire without becoming wanted
2. For accidental friendly fire when a silly ship flys infrount of you with no warning and only a couple of shots hit (obviously a mistake and not a prolonged attack) Allow for an option to pay a small fee to the person you hit for any damages and then you don't become wanted - NPC always accept players can decide maybe? This way you are still punished for your mistake but not attacked/have to make an annoying trip to pay off a 200cr fine with the threat of execution on your way
3. Shared bountys with ANYONE. If the bounty is 8000cr and you do 50% of the damage you get 4000cr, not the last hit gets all. I really believe this is the reason alot of people pick solo over online because other players steel kills. Right now I hate to see another player because its almost always a negative impact on my game, I dont mind if they want to fight me that's fine it adds to the game and sense of danger

Your points 1 and 2 contradict each other. What if the other ship accidentally fires at you the same way as you have described in 2?

IMO it is perfectly fine as it is now regarding points 1 and 2.
As for the point 3 it should be reverted to the previous state when you were challenging NPCs as well. Now it is too simple if you hit the enemy several times and NPCs deliver the killing blow you get all the money. This is way too simple and boring. Competing with NPCs to deliver the killing blow was what made combat interesting for me.

Your idea will make it even more boring for me.

If you are at a NAV beacon and you attack a wanted person another clean member of the faction often attack you after him seeing you attack his friend. If you attack them back you then become wanted, hence you are unable to defend yourself

Personally I hate seeing another player because my first though is. dam it hes just gonna try and steel my bounty again, not great, we can work together to kill the wanted. Im sure the comms would be full of "good job, nice shot" and not "OII what are you doing that was my bounty!!"

More fun, better community

Smuggling fixes. Illicit goods sell for 250% of current sale price in the black markets of large stations with high security in which they are illegal.

There should be a pirate faction as well as Alliance, Federation, and Imperial, and Anarchy systems should be ridiculously dangerous, especially if you are not friendly with the local pirates.

There's one issue I've been having.

If I'm in a friendly system, at a random encounter or a resource extraction site, sometimes someone with a wanted rating will appear friendly (green). If I attack them, then the local system authority ships (also initially green) turn against me despite me having no wanted rating.

I assume this is because of some faction loyalty check in the background, but if someone's wanted it shouldn't matter. Especially if the authority ships are already shooting at them!

If that was fixed in the next update, I'd be delighted.

1. wings
2. improvements to the galactic map to aid navigation (especially long routes), perhaps more stats and coloring options
3. leniency for entering station without docking permission

A repost of somethings Id like to see in game.

I think navigation should be easier as even today I can use a smart phone to keep a route to and from a place.

1: So what I would like to see is the system screens linked so when I pickup a mission or need to collect bounties even go and pay a fine. I should be able to click or select that in the Transaction Screen and go to it on the Navigation Screen.
Maybe via a drop down or what ever is an easy way to implement it.
I ask this as I don't like having to write on paper to keep track of something in game, as it stands I cannot even paste in to the Navigation / Galaxy map tab, It is probably just me but some of the names that I need to keep track of are tricky.
2: An option to pay 10% more on a fine when you leave say more then 20ly but be able pay at almost or any station as well as losing 10% on a bounty in the same way I would be ok with that, it would be like a Bank Fee, lol. As it stands I feel roped in to going back to do some of this stuff.
3: Links into 1 - I am stumped trying to find a Faction I have a Bounty with, its the Pro-Independence Party. Maybe an easier way to find some of the factions.

I know this isn't going to happen but I would like to see different kinds of "trades" buffed. For example trading is obviously the easiest fastest way to make money, I would like to see bounties and exploration be worth a lot more :D

Wings, joining in progress interdictions.

Another mid-low tier ship.

Rework warzones to effect every area of a system, not just defined arenas. I want to dog fight around station dammit!

And balancing: buff the viper to allow it to do it's role better than the Jack of All. tone back high rated shields and rework shield cells. A well shielded player ASP is currently all but invincible vs any smaller ship.

Yes yes and yes. Crime needs a lot more Risk and Reward.

Not for next update but some time down the road:

Something I really enjoyed from another spaceship game: Player-owned AI ships. In the game I'm talking about you could buy ships, equip them with AI controllers and assign them tasks. You'd equip them any way you saw fit. You could have them take goods from one of your stations and sell them at an NPC station, or give them some seed-money and assign them a more complex trade route (depending on the type of AI controller you bought for it, cheaper ones allowed fewer commands in sequence). You could assign them to escort your larger traders for defense or even to follow and fight alongside you. You could take money from them at any time and when killed they dropped a black box that told you who killed it and when. NPCs were often responsible for killing them but sometimes it was a player.

They were also clearly labeled with their owner's name to distinguish them from regular NPCs.

Something very similar could be introduced here. We don't need AI controllers here but could hire NPC captains and crew instead and have them run tasks for us like trade routes or mining or as NPC escort.

Imagine the possibilities for piracy and bounty hunting if players had their own small NPC fleets flying around.

My wish is that what is referred to as "system map" is just a placeholder for the totally awesome orrery style system map they have been secretly working on and that I think most of us expected to see. I was quite disappointed.

For the next update, I'd like at the very least a chat reform. Not only getting the existing mechanics to work at all times (including jump coundown), but new chat modes, particularly conference-chats.
