Next week's livestream: Challenge Ed and Bo!

Bo Marit

Lead Community Manager
Frontier
Thank you again for tuning in this week and watching our first community livestream; there were so many amazing creations you submitted and it is astounding to see how passionate you are about Planet Coaster.

We will be back every week at 7PM BST with a community livestream, leading up to the game’s release on November 17, and we will have more content-focused streams closer to that date as well. However, for the next one, we were thinking of a more... competitive kind of setup.

Introducing... Challenge Ed and Bo! During this stream, both Community Managers will be put to the test by YOUR suggestion. Each will have 30 minutes to complete this challenge to the best of their abilities, and whoever wins gets... well, nothing really, we’re just doing it to have some Planet Coaster fun with you.
Who can make the most money or train their staff the most in 30 minutes? Give us your best challenge ideas below and we will pick one to play next Wednesday.

Planet Coaster community livestream - every Wednesday at 7PM BST.

Who can make the roller coaster with the highest fear rating!

You probably thought I was going to say excitement didn't you, but no, I want to see how terrified you can make the punters.

Who can build the best Fantasy Castle with one hidden dragon . This means, the dragon shouldn't be visible immediatly, when one see the castle.

Who can build a park with at least 2.5 thousand dollars left to spare while having 2 coasters (Can be any coaster with all of their imagination)
2 rides, and at least 100 stars, and you need to have 5 stalls, and 2 entertainers.

1) Who can build the coaster that achieves the highest monthly profit.

2) Who can obtain a higher park rating without placing any scenery!

3) Who can build the best toilet!!! [tongue]

3) Who can build the best toilet!!! [tongue]

Grrr... That was going to be my suggestion. [cry]

Here's my just-in-case-someone-stole-my-first-idea suggestions:

  1. Build a park around one single flatride. The prettiest one wins.
  2. Build a coaster with at least 8 inversions. Lowest "Fear" rating wins.
  3. Build a park centered around a single toilet. You're free to do whatever you want in the rest of the park with the aim being to encourage visitors to use your toilet. At the end of 30 minutes the toilet that has seen the most visitor throughput wins.
  4. Same as above but with a first aid stall instead of a toilet. Make as many guests sick as you can! [squeeeeee]
  5. Create a replica of Mt Rushmore with the 5 heads of the Frontier Community Team instead of 4 presidents. The most photogenic recreation wins.

How about these?
- Recreate a portret (either of themselves or of the co-host) with the landscape and scenery tools.
- place down the same rollercoaster, then design a cue with a priority cue. Keep the prices fixed (of both the priority passes and the ride), whoever sells the most priority passes wins. With some out of the box thinking like place down atm's and such, one may gain the advantage.
Maybe a delayed challenge could help: create a scenery item (with the treasure chest or another fixed item): at the end of the stream, laught at eachothers creation, upload them to the steam workshop whoever gets the most downloads by next week, will win!

In the end, I feel it must be a challenge where they can look at each others work during the stream, comment on it and have fun in general.

Yes and it has to be something that is doable in 30 min. [squeeeeee]

My suggestions:

- Build a coaster with more than 6,0 excitement
- Build a ride with 100% queue scenery quality
- Build a ride with more than 300 monthly guests
- Build a ride with not more than 0,5 Nausea (the higher excitement wins)
- Build a ride with not more than 1,0 Fear (the higher excitement wins)

I Like the Idea of

Using Workshop items only who can get the highest park rating in 30 minutes?

Yeah I agree that's a good idea for a challenge.

Show off the blueprint sharing and how quick you can build a park from other peoples' creations without too much faffing . Give a few shout-outs along the way.

Maybe restrict it slightly and limit them to 2 coasters each or something.

I like 2+3+4. These ideas could be very funny I hope they try one of them
