also, dont be one of those guys, any expansion of content/exploration is good for the game, or are you content to forever have literally nothing new to do/explore? just repeating the same combat missions in your little dogfighting simulator forever?

We have 400 billion stars, excellent and stable game engine; the game runs smoothly; complete freedom ...

- Are coming updates, DLC, addons.

Unknown to like and with these characteristics game.

ED is special, have a great base to play now and, in particular, for the near future (I think that already in January we will have some news).

Obviously FD disagree since they're planning it.

And probably most players would disagree, because from what I can see most players want it. "Space sim" is just a casual title, naming a thing doesn't rigidly tie down what developers can do to the history of what things that had the same name in the past could do.

The only sense in which it would be a "waste of time" would be if development time was taken away from continuing to develop the space aspect of the game, to prematurely and unfinishedly develop the ground thing (as was done by CCP with EVE). But if it's something that's been planned and budgeted from the start, then it's not a "waste of time".

This is a remake of frontier elite and first encounters. Of course it will have planet landings, and it will be awesome! Like going into Saturn's rings and see rocks progressively bigger

no it isn't. This is much closer to the original Elite game than those two were.... [shudders]
