Ngaiawang community goal-Slave discount

Did it just complete? It generally takes several hours for any community goal to kick in. Took about 8 hours for the Asp to show up for sale for that reward.

Ah ok - I think it was about 8-9 hours ago. I'll check again later . . . cheers.

You buying it? In the time I take to get there, I will make double the savings in trading profit. It just seem not worth it. At 10% I'll bite but 5%....

I'm borderline - I just can't afford it atm (with the discount and no insurance). If I confirm it's there and discounted, I might grind rares for a few days and then pick one up once I can afford the insurance.

Getting bored in my Cobra and want something to build.

Sure that it helps ! Thanks a lot, I feel less fooled now !!!
Did you get some rep for that goal ?

Was already Allied with local and Feds . . . so nope. Got 3,000 credits though :)

Edit: sorry, didn't meant to change the topic . . .

Keep you eye out for Terraforming goals............
There were 5 yesterday..... Max 10mil each.
I only caught the last 4 but with profits of sales I made 40mil.
I also was in the dropship one... (I got one with the 15% outfitting discount on a previous one).
Exploring ones don't seem to be worth much.
The trading ones do seem to be hard work.
Overall after doing 7 community goals, the terraforming ones are most profitable.

Terraforming went to quickly. The time between 1st system is done and the whole thing ends is what, 12 hours? I notice the 1st system finishing before I went to bed and everything else was finished the next day before I even got off work.

Wow, so disappointed on this one! I was hyped to get a discount and do some slave trading this weekend. I just wasted 30mins doing my first run and thought the discount would show on the selling side because I didn't see it on the buying side.

Lesson learned, community goals are a huge waste of time, why did they even spend time to develop it... The turn out for this one was so low, and I bet the turn out of the next after this will be even lower.

First of all, Frontier better learn how to make multiplayer combat work, because it was freaking ridiculous experience, dare I say a . In open play a combat zone was nothing but 20 green dots chasing 1 red dot. There was simply never enough enemy there to be exciting. So, I switched back to solo play because I've seriously have had a more fun gaming experience playing whack a mole at a chucky cheese arcade. And thus that totally defeats the point of a community event, because my point of view was that there was no real community interaction, period—just a bunch of green dots chasing one red dot.

So anyway back to the "community" goal. Besides gaining more experience and having fun fighting in solo mode, there is nothing to lead me to the next story event, which would have been finding the best imperial slave trade route and spending the week doing that towards the goal of getting a better ship or whatever.

Oh well, I guess it's back to boring rare goods trading. damn it.

This was the very first time I went back to solo since beta. And the goal sucked because it wasn't thought out. Nice going there FD.

Sometimes Dornier is buying slaves for low prices, sometimes selling slaves for around 15k.
Once selling gold for 9,5k, then buying for 10,3k.
Seems so the stations economy is changing between refinery and high tech continously, but what is the logic?
I don't believe it, that FD cannot do the community goals rewards working so, that is intended.

Not exactly, you can get them for about 1k under the galactic average, but you'll have to wait until they have supplies and those supplies are always low. This affects the price which in turn affects the discount, making that 10% discount more like 5%.

Ah, okay i actually see 10k supply currently, so ill try a few runs in my asp i think.

Well, for me there was 600 supply, so I went back to my bounties. And I won't bother with community goals anymore.
