General / Off-Topic Nine meters of altitude

Russian military planes made a series of "aggressive" overflights of a US warship in international waters of the Baltic Sea. A flight over, less than nine meters, by a Russian Su-24 above the ship USS Donald Cook. The pilots are ELITE ?

:p

Doesn't really make sense, think about it, in the last 'war' Russia/USSR and US were allies, the only thing that really has happened is the 'cold war' , and that is basically a "I don't like you, because you 'might' be a threat to me because you have as big weapons as I do' shouting match, neither side wants an actual war, because exactly their weaponry, the big guns..

And without wanting to insult American's a lot of the things that Russia was blamed and considered the 'bad' guy over, has now been proven that the US did exactly the same thing, thanks to whistle blowers..
Then there's the corruption stuff against Russia's leadership, but US leadership is spotless?

Personally I feel like saying to both sides, "Grow up, do some science together like you proved you could do with ISS, work together! instead of spending so insane amounts of money, trying to 'defend' yourself from the other"

Oh, I know... I'm American and I know my county is hardly spotless. I posted here for the lulz, not to make a political statement. :)

America needs an enemy or two. It really doesn't matter how real the threat is, in reality the only threat to America comes from within. It is essentially un-invaluable and un-deflatable.

But it needs others to blame.

If America were a person it would be certifiably paranoid with schizoid tendencies. But it's America.

Argue and get ready with the excuses.
