Offical, NMS will be getting the biggest update since it's originally launched. AND in addition, there will be a XBox ONE edition. Due out some time this summer.

So is it any good? I know it was supposed to be a lot better with the Foundation update.

It happens to be on sale at the moment to PS plus players and I was wondering if it could tempt me from my Elite Dangerous addiction.

I would value an ED fan's opinion on whether it is worth getting or not, how it compares etc...

I've enjoyed it, and certainly got my money's worth. I play it when I want to wander round planets - the flight model is awful, and I really don't enjoy the ships at all compared to E: D. I have spent hours on planets, though. While a bit cartoony, they have more stuff to do and help scratch an exploration itch that you can't reach with E: D.

Nice game, I tired very quickly at the relentless need for certain materials. Now there are more choices of modes to play in, but nothing so far has tempted me back. My problem really, I found the graphic style not to my taste.
