NMZ : the thing that no-one seems to care about

Dear Commanders,

do you think it's logical that a NPC can shoot at you in the no-fire zone of a station EVEN if he's in a powers controlled system because. I am pledged to Aisling Duval and if i fire in the no-fire zone of in a controlled system, the station warns me to stop but if i continue the only consequences are fines. Who cares about fines ? Not NPC for sure !

IMO a logical mechanic would be :

- First shot in the NFZ = Fine
- Second/third shot = Fines + Serious warning of the station that your wrong-doing will force the station to use lethal force against you
- Station fires at you.

Please tell me your thoughts about it and my apologies if the topic was discussed already.

This doesn't happen to me often, but don't the security ships fire on the NPC if s/he shoots you in the no-fire zone?

Yes they do. That's why it's best to ignore it and dock.

if you're pledged to a superpower it may not happen, my point is a NMZ must be like, well, a NMZ ? however, whoever you are, whatever the reason, the NMZ to be meaningful must be applied to all
