No Ad Astra in OUTPOSTS?!

Who thought of this? If you ever fly to an outpost right now in your own ship and take an Apex shuttle away from it and return from it how am I supposed to get my ship again?
On foot you HAVE to use the stores. But only Apex the bar and Frontier exists on Outposts!
And of course you can't even set your ship active in that radial menu either. The ICON for your own ship isn't even there. But thank God that Apex icon is in the radial menu, perpetually greyed out in station since you are supposed to go to the guy/gal behind the counter.

Seriously Frontier, what was the thought process behind this?
F- people that use your new feature from outposts?
Having to fly away to a bigger station/port and then ordering your ship to be transported to the bigger station/port is what? A feature? Emergent Gameplay? Personal Narrative?
My guess is that it was simply forgotten.
If so, please, for the love of Braben, either add it to the radial menu so we can set our own ship active.
Or add it to the station terminals. I never understood why I cannot use them for switching ships to begin with.
Or maybe add a menu to the lifts where you can pick your ship as sub-option, which would make sense... you know, picking to what hangar you wanna go.

I am not expecting you guys to suddenly overhaul the outpost's concourses and just level-design a stall into it. It may be something you might want to look into in the future but right now a menu option is all that is needed really.

Same with Frontline solutions. And yes, this means in some systems you cannot access on foot CZs unless you go there yourself. Which you can (I tested it in alpha) but still...

Take Apex to a Surface Port or neighboring Starport?

It's a good question though - I always assumed your ship would just.... be there.

I've done just that many times - docked at an outpost, used a taxi to run round other stations then back to pick up my ship, and had no problem whatsoever. When you get dropped off by the taxi and use the lift to the concourse, just turn around and use the lift again (might have to wait a moment for your ship to be made ready). No need for an Astra terminal whatsoever...

Really? While I was typing I checked the elevator twice. You know, because I didn't want to make a bigger of myself than needed.
It was unavailable when I docked. 5 minutes later and about 12 minutes later as well.
Not sure what I did different from you. But reading your reply gives me a semblance of hope this might be a non-issue and I was just bugged maybe.

Can you stack ships in an inaccessible storage area? So park a ship at the outpost, taxi away, grab another ship, bring to outpost and repeat until you have a load of ships locked away that you can’t directly access. You’d have to transfer the to another station.

I too thought it would be logical to swap owned ships at the terminals, it seems more logical than going to the ship showroom to access ships you already own.
