No anti-goid missions on the Vanguard??

Just logged in to see if I can pick up a few Interceptor kill missions only to notice that the Vanguard is spawning zero missions of any kind. Is this a thing now? First they remove the Aegis faction that should be the megaship's controlling faction, now this. I guess its off to the gold mine for me then.

Happens most weeks: who knows why?

Is there a flight plan yet showing where it's off to next? (Happened last week)

hmph. I guess if nobody can make money off it then it's not a priority to fix.

Don't know about the flight plan but I'm parked on it with my goid ship so I'll jump with it when it jumps. Then I just fly over to the nearest station and transfer my DBX taxi....but at this rate I might abandon the Vanguard and head over to one of the new gold mines before they get nerfed.

You should have looked for the flight plan :)

flight plan is good. plan for extracting their head from their own poop chute and spawning some worthwhile missions and getting the Aegis faction back on the ship would be better.

If you look where they are it's more interesting - both are ~70 Ly from Sol, so it's likely we defeated the Thargoids at both systems this week. The fight continues.

I'm late to the party, but I've been doing vanguard missions last 3 weeks and each week they dry up like this. Is there any correlation with successful defence of a station attack i wonder? After all, the aegis ships do tend to be in the vicinity of of eventually attacked stations - i think? Actually perhaps not, because i think acropolis also dried up last week, and an attack still happened.

They dry up for some time after jump. Most likely cause the missions come from the local factions, not from Vanguard itself. However, I still don't know how long until new missions show up 🤔

Hi folks. Feels like the missions dry up the 24hrs before their scheduled weekly jump. Guess they're stowing food trays, packing their cabin luggage & long haul flight socks.

What? weren't you guys aware? The AEGIS Ships are trade ships that give out the occasional 1 in 3 billion Thargoid missions just to justify their production! ;)

They are such a hideous waste of resources, if there was a job available as Ship coordinator you would see a very active Vanguard/ Acropolis. one that actually sells anti-xeno weapons, one that actually provides missions for the local system in trouble, one that ACTUALLY DOES WHAT IT'S MEANT TO DO!!!! :D

I'd also have a Xeno Leaderboard for who hands in the most vouchers, each week the CMDRs who score the highest will receive a bonus. I'd also ensure that all missions are frequent and pay 100% more than the sad, sorry, cheap as chips rubbish we get so far.

Yeah, I'd make a good Coordinator... :D

Acropolis had few goid missions...I mean 1 for 30 cargo missions :(

Ok I stop here otherwise I will be complainer with Frontier's devs...

Good luck with your missions.

Yup, AEGIS Megaships were a huge disappointment!

It would be great if FDev would try and do something interesting with them for 3.3!

Well, I was wondering where Thargoid hunting mission might originate, but this disappointing answer was unexpected. The EE systems readout hasn't changed in months, and those systems are still heavily populated by various levels of Thargoid threat. Does no one in human space give a hoot any more?
