I can't find any systems in the "boom" state. Is something up with the BGS?

There are plenty of things up with the BGS, but booms is not among them.
I've noticed that since Ascendancy (in December) system information often doesn't update correctly. For instance, the galaxy map will tell me that I have no data on a system that I know I've been to before. Perhaps something similar is happening here?

I've searched the whole bubble, as far as I can tell, nothing. Can anyone give me an example, so I can see what I'm failing to see? Can't see any Civil Unrest either.
Can Inara search for systems in a particular state? I can see minor faction state, but not system state.
Okay there's something up with my game. Everything is showing as "None". EVERYTHING. I turned on ALL the states except for "None" and nothing shows up!

There's not really any such thing as "system state" (outside of the various Thargoid-induced ones).
The state shown on the map (at least, if your map didn't get hit by a stray bullet in your last fight...) is one of the states of the controlling faction of the system. That display has been decreasingly useful since 2018 but coming up with a better (simple) display is also tricky.
So you might have a system where the controlling faction is in Boom - but it's also in another state as well, so the state filter shows that.
Or you might have a system where two or three non-controlling factions are in Boom, and own stations that can be traded with advantageously, but the controlling faction is in None so it doesn't show on the map.
