Whenever I go into a HIGHRES to bounty hunt and there is another player there and we are not a wing, I only get paid for bounties about half of the time. This only seems to happen when both I and the other player are shooting at the same target so I assume he is getting the bounty claim. When we wing up, then there is no issue. So I either wing with the other guy (which I prefer not to have to do) or I go somewhere else to bounty hunt. Is this some strong arm attempt to force us to wing? Or is it a bug?

As far as i know the one with the kill gets the bouny if the CMDRs are not winged up.
In a wing all members have to deal a certain ammount of damage to get the bounty. If you don't deal enough damage you won't get it even if you are in the wing that killed the target.
That's why a friend and I usually play a round of laser-tag when we engage a npc-wing when we are bounty hunting together.
