I installed Rift on June 6, 2016 - and I'm loving it - but I haven't been able to get a CQC match. (Today is the 8th.) I'm going into withdrawal.
I'm just sitting here in virtual space, looking at the "seeking matches screen," waiting, waiting, and more waiting . . .
Growing facial hair. Experiencing muscle atrophy. Nails are getting rather long and sharp. You get the sorry picture.
I'm beginning to think it is something on my end. I can get into open play, though I haven't had any contacts with other players. Just NPCs. That's pretty typical for me, though.. I don't frequently run into other players. But given my issues with not getting matches in CQC, I'm thinking it could be my firewall or virus protection.
So - could it be that Norton Internet Security is playing havoc with that component of the game? Or is the problem on the other end at Frontier and this is just a coincidence in timing?
If it's Norton, suggestions for changing Norton settings would be most appreciated. (Yeah, I know, just uninstall Norton and test - I'll do that as a last resort, but I don't want to have to enter all the other exceptions I've added over the years.)
So I'll be sitting here waiting for your reply. And waiting. And waiting.
Please hurry.
