No credit for bounty hunting if mulitple players in area

Wow, would have thought this would have gotten fixed, but just out fighting in a haz zone and someone else shows up. I then stop getting credit for any kills as this guy sucks up every enemy nearby.
Appears you still have to be the one with "the kill shot" in this case.

If you wing-up with the other guy, you both get the bounty money. If they won't wing-up, shoot them.
 
It is already crazy how you multiply money in a wing with everyone earning the full value voucher and multiple wing missions being completed simultaneously, and you'd want full credit even if non-winged CMDRs shoot the same pirate?
 
It'd work both ways, of course.

It already works like that and people exploit it to grief others. Haven't you seen the suicidewinders in the stations? Also if you tag or bump into a clean NPC, which subsequently gets blown up, you get a murder charge against you, which brings notoriety and a bounty on you.

It works like that if an NPC then kills the thing you injured, yes, because NPCs don't steal kill credit from you.

If another non-winged player kills it, you should be fine.

(Suicidewinders in stations are player vs player damage entirely, so obviously you get credit for the kill in that case)
