No destination, No time constraints, No credits needed, so heading out!

So off I go in my DBX, outfitted strictly for exploration. So far I've taken a few 1000ly to 2000ly "training" runs to build up enough credits to properly equip my ship, named the "Columbia Rediviva". I have no need to amass large amounts of credits, as I can't spend it out in the void, and have no reason to return at a specific time, so I will return to colonized space when my ship needs enough repair to warrant the trip back. I plan on scanning most objects I come across for the knowledge base, whether they be rock, ice or otherwise.

Any rare specific scientific data I should look for on the less scanned (rocky, ice) planets that would be beneficial to screenshot?
any other data to gather that would help anyone, let me know.

Good luck and God's speed Commander. Throttle back during the countdown and don't drink too much and you should make it to the other side of the galaxy :)

Binary stars are pairs of stars in close proximity to each other, but if you take my advice and throttle back during the countdown you will be fine :)

What is that?

Binary stars, or worse - trinary stars. Stars that orbit each other so clsoely that you risk a swift death upon entering the system. You can generally see the second star during the drop from Frame-shift. They are not normally a lethal hazard but every so often you will enter the system by passing through the second star, in which case I hope you brought spare undies.

They will cause a quick rise in temperature and sometimes throw you into immediate fuel-scooping, even if you throttle to zero during the jump.

Good luck. Dont fly when you are too tired. I fell asleep twice. One time I kissed a solar flare. The other time I nearly ran out of fuel in a metallic ring in a scoopable system. Far away. At least I could have been able to pay the rats with painite. Best regards, Gorrister.

Take your time, enjoy yourself.

Take lots of gratuitous selfies with shiney things.

If you get 'cabin fever' take a break.

edit: make sure to read planet sounds thread. It can be very helpful.
