No doorways for bamboo walls

have you looked under arches? (or under decorations, where it is false you categorized if you mean that bamboo doorway.

I too noticed for some materials certain pieces are missing. Usually you only find out too late.

I do like the planco1 and planco2 building system but I do wish sometimes we had like a bit more of a Sims building system. Where you can change the material after placing all items.

One of the glaring problems from PC1 was the incomplete themes for wall and roof pieces.

I don't understand why they didn't seem to use a style book with a checklist of the wall and roof pieces and then used it to make sure each theme was fully fleshed out. This made using similar parts from different themes sometimes impossible, and made little sense. A member here even made screenshots comparing each theme and showing the missing pieces, but Frontier never bothered. Something I fear will happen yet again.
