No end game news on the Lembava Goal?

So they don't send any information on the end of the event? Seems a tad wonky. I think i made 6mil but hard to tell, good chance i was blind drunk hammered at the port when i sold my data, and don't recall what i made. Well back to the black for me, these folk's in Lembave smell of old socks and stale beer.

Fly safe Cmdr's

I thought this was strange as well. Usually have to fly back to the originating station. Was really interesting if it made Tier 7.

No, we didn't reach Tier 7. On the graph it looked really close, but in actuality, it was a BIG number of scans short.

i was in the 70%? (or 40%?, that one worth the 4,5mio) and the day after the CG ended i had those 4,5million more on my account, so no tier 7.
but yes, a bit of info would have been nice

I agree and please don't do this again FD. I miss the sense of closure and was in the middle of refits so I couldn't tell how much I earned. Not even a thank you note Antal?

Yes odd end to this goal. I docked on Monday and left ship there after selling data. Logged on yesterday to find I did not need to hand in anything and CR balance changed. I THINK I was in 5% but would like to have known for sure, given number of hours I put in.

Also seem system got an upgrade for tech, as A class Python FSD was not available on Monday and available when I checked yesterday.
And reason for exploring this time (See this https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=163174) was partly A Class thrusters which also got a large discount.

All in all, thanks for CR but bit of a let down.

I really don't care about a final official backslap most posters seem to miss. My personal problem with this (and most sorts of) CG is that I was tricked into the very lowest and most boring aspect of exploring: a simple, boring hoop-grind-fest where in the end I came to the conclusion that even trading is more interesting (and even more effective, even w/o the bonuses from a CG, but that's NOT my point). There could be so much more, like detail scans from randomly chosen very far away objects...

But still I don't complain, not at all. Right now I'm just doing what I always did: Flying an armed explorer (+ small scale hobby bounty hunter) in solo play style however always in open and try to survive (only one stupid accident so far). And I'M FREE. :D

And this is, believe it or not, FUN! No need for any wings, chat, CGs, PP and what not - in my book of course.
Maybe I'm just a sociopath - but I enjoy the game like hell since early beta and non stop. :p

Haha, I tend to join CG's if they fit my current plans or if I am in need of a credit buff. I do like seeing busy stations even if the player pirates can be pesky :)
For example I had a long exploration trip planned anyway but the Lembava CG was that extra incentive to get out there and do it. Got back and thought, I haven't done trading in a long time. Oh Antal CG, sign me up!

I do agree they follow the MMO trend of those with time get more rewards but I wouldn't call it a grind if you are doing that activity anyway. For me grind is anything you do that you dislike in order to enjoy the next activity (I.e. if the grind part is only there to enable you to do the next thing).

Ok, the word grind probably was too strong. But in contrast what I usually do it felt like a grind. It's a relative statement I have to agree.

For this CG, grind pretty much hits the mark. I came back from a four-week jaunt and turned in my scan data the night before the CG started. I then honk-scanned 2550 systems, and a grind it was. I'm pew pewing for a bit, as I'm scanned out for awhile (but instinctively press the honk button when I jump into a system - with my fully armed python, looking for stuff to kill - no scanner is even installed).

I'll get the pew pew out of my system in a week or two, and investigate power play a bit. Before long, I'll be back in the black, where scanning and exploring are fun, and the honk-grind approach will be a long-forgotten memory.

I am having similar post CG symptoms except its constantly pressing the "next system in route" button when I tab back into the game lol

I actually find it nice that my credits got awarded without returning to port, as I won't be in port for quite a while. I'm somewhere between Orion and Sagittarius arm right now, but another game takes quite a bit of time currently.

Yes, same here. I got bitten by the exploration bug while doing the Sirius CG - won't be back in civilised space for a month or so (heading to Sag. A now). So it was nice to get the credits remotely.

I've been exploring since before 1.3 came out so never bothered checking up on any of the CGs. Was this one just based on how many discovery scans you turned in? And then tiered so you got more money for more scans? 6 million, mentioned above, seems a fair amount of cash but not for 2000 scans. That's only a few hundred thousand an hour and very tedious with it! Maybe they'll be another when I get back...

Yes it was only based on system honking, detailed scanning added nothing.

I got 6 million (top 15%) for 1,352 scans plus I earnt between 15 and 18 million from the detailed data I submitted with a lot of first discoverys.

I did it it in three different phases with three different ships, Courier, Asp and Eagle, never spending longer than a week at a time in any ship.
I went 'West' in the Asp, 'East' in the Courier and 'Up' in the Eagle.

I think it was worth it and the way I did it didn't feel tedious. Do explorers do it for the money? I have no idea on my hourly rate with
exploration, it'll be pretty low. I could trade my way to countless millions doing A to B - B to A runs but I would find that really boring
and I wouldn't first discover things like these;

I do it for the Chicks. Ladies at Lembave love when a 4 week out explorer comes home with a pocket full of coin. Alas, i can only listen to them for so long till the black calls me. Hope i didn't get a rash this trip.
