Finally got to run 2.2 last night (after Beta testing) and continued back with my real Commander.
I decided to look for geysers in the 2.2 release to evaluate any further changes from the Beta.
Having found an active planet near a gas giant I approached my chosen search area and was confronted by what you see in the picture.
For no atmosphere this was VERY atmospheric!
An extremely careful IMC (foggy) approach to land in a kms deep fissure was carried out which was like the Nostromo landing in Alien. (Minus the howling winds as far as I could tell)
An SRV exploration followed which was like a foggy day on the M25. Didn't find any geysers though!
Great fun!
