Is there no Gal map like Frontier had whereby you can make an informed choice about which bit of a system to go to for trade?
I've made 2 trade jumps and lost out both times (ship destroyed) because apart from choosing the system to fly to there's no other info (apart from what Govt - not even corp state, democracy etc. Only Anachy shows up as definitive.) that I can see until you actually jump there - then make a choice - try to fly to the right planet and .... interdicted, then death. 3 cobras interdicted, then 1.
This needs to change. In reality in year 3300 this would not happen; Pilots would know the destination down to the station before launch. The time it takes to choose is the time you are vulnerable to attack.
Plus you would not jump into a system with say only 1 spaceport unless you knew you would get a good deal there - jumping essentially blind into a system with no knowledge of how many trade ports there are is not good business sense. (unless there is a module to install to increase this info?)
I'm an absolute die hard Elite fan and one of the few badgeholders (my avatar) yet I find this pretty gamebreaking.
With just a few credits remaining to my name and no upgrades - this has been an extremely frustrating morning.

I do like the fact that you jump to near the sun then fly manually to the planet of choice, but 1 death (no trade cargo) was caused by a frustrating time trying to circumnavigate the suns mass lock field to get to the other side, and an interdiction.
I think the hyperjump exit needs to be further away from any mass to reduce this effect.
