No idea why space is blue here

Hegoi WM-I b23-0(ABC)_small.png

As the title says, I have no idea why the sky is so blue here.
According to the gal map I'm not in a nebula. I'm ~500 ly away from the bubble nebula in Hegoi sector.
None of the stars is a pulsar, I'm not in low orbit of a planet.
It looks pretty, though. Picture file name contains the system name.

Next jump put me 500 ly further and form there I can see a huge blue nebula. Unmarked on the galaxy map. It must be what I was seeing.

"Hegoi WM-I b23-0"? Yeah that's interesting. I don't see any nebula around that. It doesn't even look like it's one of those super-tiny planetary nebulae that are hard to spot on the map, either. Not to mention the fact that the system doesn't have a white dwarf at all, or anything like that. I would suggest the possibility of it being shed outer layers from a red giant, before it has shed enough to become a planetary nebula and a white dwarf, but the star here is listed as an M dwarf and the other stars are all brown dwarfs.

It's a bit puzzling.

It still spans the sky at 500ly further on. Kind of like Bernard's Loop but not quit as big as all that. I didn't take a further picture at that point.

I'm not seeing it in that system - which direction did you go that made it closer? ISTR other people chasing a mysterious blue nebula over this way.

Well given that I saw the blue sky further away on the next jump I don't think it was a display bug. However, as jackie has apparently raced there to see, maybe it was.

At 500 ly it wasn't the same as the picture, it was an obvious distant cloud.

Now I wish I did take the second picture. Third jump and it I couldn't see it again.

My path was from bubble nebula (just outside of it) toward heart and soul.

Trying to find a flight path that I took here. Thought edsm would have it but it just shows my start and end for the day.

Started today at Bubble Sector DL-Y d33 to the screen shot system.

Also, to answer the log out question, no, I did not log out after arriving.

Here we go. Today's path from Inara.
S: Bubble Sector DL-Y d33
1: Hegoi WM-I b23-0
2: Hegoi UR-V b2-3
3: Gludgoe NK-B b41-4
4: Gludgoe Qv-M b21-0
5: Gludgoe RU-A c8
E: Heart Sector IR-V b2-0

Saw the blue in the screen shot on the first Hegoi
The more distant (which I didn't screen capture) in Hegoi ur-v

I'm not intent on making a big deal about this. I'd like to think I saw something cool, that's been shot down with the idea it was just a strange bug.

I'm not trying to shoot it down I promise! I remember at least two other CMDRs (I forget who, of course) chasing a blue nebula out in the "west".
