Here's the somewhat official word on how to pronounce Aisling - I PM'd Ed Lewis about this a week or two back.

I think you have access to the lore master of the Elite Galaxy, so I'm hoping you might be able to clear this up?

I told the Lave Radio crew that Aisling is pronounced "Ashling". I think this is the most usual current pronounciation of the current name, and also as in the song "Aisling" by Shane MacGowan

That said, maybe Aisling Duval pronounces it differently and/or pronounciation has changed in the time of Elite?

We've already had one thread closed over this...it's different in different areas with different spellings. In this case there is no one rule for all which is perfectly fine.

Who cares, it's a written word. If you need to reference her by voice, say "that blue lady". Now defect and join Arissa, that one is easy to pronounce.
