Can you follow the story lines in creative mode?
Nms looks like an okay game on the side, definitely not an ED replacer for me.
Survival mode looks good but creative looks cool too, I was just curious if you could follow the story lines in creative.

The frame rate can get awfully choppy in places, i'm sure that will get patched up but frame drops when you are already limited to 30 fps top end really isn't ideal.

Other than that, I'll give it a tentative OK, at least until I can look at the multiplayer aspect.

It can't get patched (and has never been) because the whole game is randomly generated so performance will be random, too. The developers can't prepare the graphics engine for every possible condition since even they don't know what can appear on the screen and how. Every planet is different. They might make minor improvements but if they couldn't fix performance in the past 2 years they won't be able to do now either.

I've got past the shock of the rubbish flight model, and am now really enjoying it.

This update has been pretty good however there are a few issues. The first issue is the lack of variety now, before virtually every planet would look different but now you can go to 2 planets of the same type and they will usually be identical.

The second issue is the poor implementation of the building system especially with the new items, all the new structures (wood, metal and concrete) don't snap to the original structures. Even the structures that do snap together don't snap perfectly which leaves uneven floors or gaps between the 2 structures.

The final issue is they still haven't given us the ability to hover or reverse when on a planet. I'm pretty sure it's a simple change in the one of the game files (mod on pc that fixed it was out fairly quick after launch).

I'm already burned out. Lol.

As soon as you jumped a couple of time it's a grind to keep your warp fuel full.

Once you landed on a dozen planets you kinda seen it. Base building is really fun, but once i had a nice base I didn't wanted to make a new one.

Seriously, Elite seems more empty, but somehow it kept me playing for 2300 hours, while NMS was fun for 50 hours and then it became difficult to stay interested..

I knew you'd come back. They always do :p
