No more cargo rewards for missions please

No more cargo rewards for missions please. It's not that they're worth the hassle anyway. It's like those people that give you brochures on the street, where it feels like "here, you throw this crap into the garbage for me pal". It's the same when we get cargo "Oh, another 4 tons of crap that I need to dispose of now? Damned thing, pulling me out of my flow."

just sell it at the station you get it in if its an added sweetener to the deal, if its a mission just for cargo its your choice not to accept the mission

I would change one thing that if ya don't have the space it's disgarded because not being able to turn in a mission to take a package because you don't have cargo space is annoying.

IMHO, Modular Terminals should be made in to a manufactured material.

Then just remove commodity rewards (or convert to manufactured materials) They serve no purpose. They don't improve the game in any way. Just serve to annoy anyone who doesn't fit a cargo rack for missions that shouldn't require a cargo rack. Lol

They're especially annoying with passenger missions so you have to fit a cargo hold of 4 tons otherwise you can't turn them in, just a waste of module space. Give us a prompt if we don't have enough space if we'd like to forfeit it from the mission reward when we hand them in. Also new players would have no idea and find it frustrating because there is no entry to hand in the mission at all if you don't have enough cargo space to begin with so you don't even know what is wrong.

It is also annoying when you want to modify your ship's outfitting, take off some cargo modules (or all), and there's some leftover commodities in your hold which will stop you from doing that. Cargo which YOU DIDN'T PUT THERE, so it's not expected to interfere with the outfitting.

Overall, there's way more examples of how the game putting stuff into our cargo holds is more annoying than benefiting.

Yes, I agree. Especially those modular terminals. They should be removed immediately. ;)
Yes, please do. I didn't like having those permanently stuck to my behind everywhere I went, until I could collect the whole lot of 25; you can't buy them, they only trickle bit by bit out of mission rewards. Not to mention that I unknowingly sold God knows how many of them before finding they're required by some darn engineer. Some "smart" game design right there.

Of course, you can probably get them pretty quick with cheating (or is that "working as intended"?) by refreshing the mission boards, if you do it at the best location, where they're most likely to spawn (information which you'll find outside the game). Again, "smart" game design.

Yes please, remove that commodities!!!
Often I forgot that I got some cargo and I get interdicted for that crap that I don't even care. I jettison it most of the time. If I take a mission of 2 milions credits why should I care of earning 1k credits more...
Rewards should only be materials valuable for egineering, not commodities.
Even worse, when the cargo rack are full you can't complete the pax mission because there is no space to get the commodities.

Have they fixed the mission turn-in bug if you don't have the room to accept the cargo? Back in 2.1 I would more than happily ignore the products that were included in the credit reward because I was doing it for the money. 2.4 however, you can't turn it in without cargo which is a pain in the butt if I was in a fighter with no cargo bays. I would have to purchase a cargo module (or fly back to get a ship that had them) before turning them in.

It's a feature, not a bug :) . And that's precisely my point.

The missions that need to give you some cargo as a completion reward, simply turn invisible on the mission board when you have a full cargo bay!?! You need sufficient cargo space to even SEE them. Smart game design, really.

Now I lose more time to double-check everything (Left menu: contracts -> None; Right menu: cargo, passengers -> None; Station boards -> Nothing) making sure the game isn't screwing with me in any way before I leave station.

Yes they have - I handed some in last night and 'lost' the cargo reward because I had a full hold. You do need to have the cargo room free to be able to accept the missions though.

It should be an option like as in winning a new car. You can take the car, or you can just take the cash option. Same should apply here.

Either that or have your ship specify that tips should be "Cash only. No commodities please", or just have an option to tell the mission giver to donate the cargo to a local Thargoid orphanage or something...

I definitely endorse & approve this. Seems odd perhaps even immersion breaking in a game to pull the (coding) attitude in a game which runs on decisions and consequences, You must have cargo space to accept this mission." along with "you must accept this cargo when you complete this mission."

Oddly enough you can ignore cargo rewards when doing data missions (the cargo just gets discarded), I don't know why they didn't add that to all the other mission types?
