No new kill animations for big carnivores

Just what I feared, all these boring old models/dinosaurs in the game at once, and no new animations and designs for most of them... It would be disappointing, if I wasn't sure of it happening already...

All the time and energy probably went into the aquatic and flying creatures, so the land creatures were mostly just copy-pasted into this game.

I hope we get updates for new behaviors in the future.
 
Yeah i really dont get why frontier wont give the carnivores some kill animation variety i played jwe over 1000 hours and i really cant tell how sick iam about the same kill animation for every carnivore
For example show the spinosaurus some love and give it the neck snap animation even jpog had it why do we only have just one animation? its allways the same ending.
Same goes for the hunting animation yeah its cool that its more dynamic now but still there is no variety they allways kill the same way for example bestin slot praising the new indominus rex goat hunt animation but its actually worse then in jwe 1 where the indo would grab the goat and eat it.
So they scrapped the animation from jwe1 and gave him this new worse looking one but why not give him both animations so there is some variety.
We still have to watch the same animation over and over again.
People wanna see dinos hunt and fight but it gets so boring quickly cause no variety.
Come on frontier at least give us the spino neck snap animation that would be so cool

Oh wow one new animation.
Instead the indominus rex on sauropod animation was removed and in gaming beaver video there wasn't even a kill animation against a styracosaurus.
The kill animations agains hadros and Ornis are exactly the same like in part1.
And the standing in position and waiting for the enemie is still a thing even the wired cycling.
Have seen this animations for over 1400 hours in the first game and i was really looking forward to new animations but they simply recycled nearly everything.
All in all its disapointing.

that may be true but the overall issue of lack of animation variety still exists

adding in new animations for every single dinosaur is probably a lot of work, but it will be worth it




personally if they expanded animations, i would not care if they charged twice the amount for the game, it would be worth it in my book because i think for a dinosaur park management game its important the animals feel good to watch (its just as important as having good gameplay systems)
 
I feel like the source material could have provided a few animations. Like maybe a random chance for the spino to break the neck of the rex like in JP3. Just to mix it up.

Rex fans don't hate me.
