Finally, to ensure we're able to provide you with the highest quality of content in 2019 we will be reducing the frequency of the weekly newsletter to be biweekly. However, we will be increasing the regularity of special communications around in game events updates to Elite.

In November I received a bunch of non-newsletter emails about Beyond 3.3 Beta, in December I received 4 that were about Beyond 3.3 and paintjob rewards, and in January a couple about Distant Worlds 2.

Log into the Frontier store, account settings, newsletters.

Yeah, I was just poking, Though I only count the DW2 ones as special comms (the rest are the usual promo stuff we always got) and DW2 just not that special to me. :p

Thanks for the quote - I'd missed that the newsletter was going bi-weekly.

I did get a mail this week about how to get the most out of my Cobra - which was quite handy as I just started a cobra-only CMDR. Did get a bit confused as I was expecting the newsletter and it seemed far more targetted / generic :)

I've not had a newsletter for years but I seem to have signed up to some community letter with mention of whats in store every week.

You haven't missed much tbh, just a rehash of the week on YTube, Reddit, and FriendFace plus the latest tat available in the store.

Stopped being worth reading when they removed 'Sneak Peeks'.

Pretty sure it will be the same quality, less often.

The legends of old tell us about newsletters that had actually interesting content and people would gather around the campfire to listen to the word of McPeekson. But those days are lost in time.

Not enough content.

It was new paint jobs, GC, something that some commander did during the week. Some thing about some Galnet article that has no affect on anyone in game ( so what if some marriage was called off, or some one decided to fake their own disappearance ) .

Thats it.

I believe the newsletter will be fortnightly going forward, giving them more time to improve the quality of the content
