No Odyssey coming to Console? Account transfer then.

Thanks, but as I said I've just been to Kuo Terminal and there are no Facilities there at all, let alone Fleet Carrier ones.
A current INARA or EDDB search showing them would be helpful, if accurate.
An example: https://eddb.io/station/962
This shows all the Facilities, but when there the map shows none.

PS. I think I'll hang on to my FC and forego the extra 5 bil credits that would transfer across to PC. I'll still have 10 bil to play around with.

Fleet carrier vendor services aren't IN the station, they are in the SYSTEM, you need to use your FLEET CARRIER menu to decommission your Fleet Carrier, Fleet Carrier Vendor and Admin services aren't tied to any particular station, just use your Fleet Carrier admin menu to decommission when you are in the system! In fact I am pretty sure you don't even need to be in a vendor or admin system to decommission, you can decommission anywhere in the galaxy, just use your fleet carrier menu.

The other part of my question was buying a FC. You need to be in the station with the Fleet Carrier Vendor to buy one, but if it isn't there, as I pointed out, how can you?
I might fly to another one, or more, and see if they have a Vendor.
Thanks for the replies.

PS. This is the bug I'm referring to.

Just because the services don't show up on the system map doesn't mean they aren't present in the system though, it has been a regular bug for services to be missing from the system map but still present in the station, did you land and test to see if the vendor was actually missing from the menu?

The system map available station facilities are not working correctly in EDH 3.8. They have not been since the aftermath patch/update in august. The system map facilities show what is NOT available, everything else is available. Kuo station in Skeggio O does sell FC's and you can add/remove FC services in that system in EDH, I did that earlier this month.

Yep, thanks guys. I have landed on Kuo Terminal and despite it showing no Facilities at all in the maps it does have FC services.
I've decommissioned my FC and moved all my ships to this station in preparation for buying another FC. Will be in about 4 days time.
I'll post again with the results. I already have a PC account with ED on Steam. Odyssey is on special, I may be tempted to buy it just to have a look. I have no interest in an FPS experience in this game, there are plenty of others that cover that area.
It might be nice to walk around inside ships and stations though.

Fair warning - you can’t walk around inside ships in EDO - just planets. stations, bases and fleet carriers. Which may be what you meant - but just in case!

Yeah, I did mean FCs. In fact it is the only reason I am bothering to get one on PC, to get that experience. Walking around stations/bases looks good as well. My only hope is that there are missions that don't involve FPS.
I've never even got involved in ship to ship combat in ED. I'm not good at it unless I can mod, like in Fallout 4.

There are courier missions (take package to person on given base) which just involve walking up to the right person once you’ve got to the base. Not massively exciting, though.

Better - I found - are the salvage missions where you need to go find a downed spaceship or satellite and grab one particular part from it. Anything else you can find is yours to keep! You can get enemies coming after you but usually you can be quick enough to get out before they land or, at least, before they start shooting!

Then there are the various settlement-based missions where you have to sneak around and steal stuff. Those were my least favourite but I know some people who love the stealth gameplay so, you know, give it all a go and see what you enjoy!!

And - of course - the on-foot combat zones, which I actually quite enjoy but probably aren’t what you’re after!!

Yeah, someone should really report that so it gets fixed.

Sorry, but I had a bit of a laugh on that. Eg. There is a Python cargo scoop alignment bug that has been around since that ship was introduced and never fixed.

Thanks for the info. Just enough for some variety and to keep me busy :)

A question for anyone using a HOTAS. Can you swap to mouse/keyboard once on foot? Is it built into Odyssey to do this, is what I mean.

You have separate binds for general, ship, srv and on foot in Odyssey now so everything can be setup as you like. 👍

Same in EDH 4.0 just no walking section... set or make your own per section

is it?
i flew a lot of black box missions (and liberate political prisoners and the liks) missions in a python and never observed anything wrong scooping cargo in a python

Is that via Steam? With the DS4 preset? As with the Frontier launcher I have to use DS4Windows for my DS5. Just sees it as "Generic Gamepad".
Epic theres no Xbox controller emulation like steam has... so it defaults to DS4 raw feed as it is a DS4 , Its very very old preset... hence custom for the ship..

next gen controllers are not supported with a Preset yes they are treated as unbranded no body lol...

FC decommission complete. I forgot to transfer all my Stored Modules off the FC and a message I received said it would be done automatically after 3 months. Obvious;y I'm not waiting, but the transfers are buggy. After transferring a few parts the game hangs and I have to exit the game and reload. Given I have 140/200 stored it is slow going.
Will keep you updated ...

Transfer successful!
