I honestly don't know why this option is here at all in the controls It certainly shouldn't be there without an option to cancel it.
What this option effectively does is mean that your control scheme is utterly useless and that you have to remap everything or instal a previous backup because as soon as you make any change permanent without being able to qualify it you're going to end up making a mess of things. All you have to do is make the error of clicking always override changes and you hold control schemes gone.
There must be in the settings perhaps in the general settings an option to override the change without qualification option. I don't know whose decision it was to include this facility in the first place without the possibility to cancel it There are so many controls in that you're never gonna remember where everything is. I'm not going to get into a discussion about why there isn't a search function which would make life a lot easier for people particularly new players and I can't imagine the number of new players that you've lost in the game for not having a search function and a more prosaic explanation of how things work. But yes my point here is I accidentally pressed always override and I know what the ramifications of that are They are just that my current control scheme is now binned and I have to start again.
please can we consider having some way of having a qualifier before this is applied and Are you sure for people who accidentally click it which you can quite easily do when you're trying to set up your Hotas for the first time for example Or to have some sub menu option to cancel they always apply option a tick box perhaps where you can just tick it and untick it which would make more sense because then the user has control and doesn't lose control of the control process simply by choosing an option that really shouldn't be there as a non reversal option in the first place.
