Horizons No or empty response from server : the operation has timed out ?

Right,

I have re-installed the latest version of the launcher.

ED-laucher starts but does not log me in. My internet (as you can see here) works perfectly.

I am not on Steam

How do I resolve this ?

Having the same issue. Not even the Launcher starts for me... Many others too in the Support section... Not impressed. Inadequate servers seem inadequate...

I have this too when I close the laucher and try to restart it. Even after killing the process with CTRL-ALT-DEL

When I had this issue before, downloading and reinstalling the laucher would suffice. Not this time. Awaiting eagerly on a response

It seems as if you need to deactivate TCP/IPv6 in you network adapter.

Ok thank you for all your replies. The launcher logged me in automatically now when I run it as ADMINISTRATOR.

This is odd since I never had to do this in the past.

CMDR Chaos, have you tried this as well ?

No, in my first post I mentioned clearly that I did not come through steam. *sigh*

I've nudged whoever I can in FD towers to have a check on the servers anyway. Maybe the hamster needs some Christmas cheer.

I run ED through the Launcher not Steam (cannot get in to Steam at the moment).

Launcher needed to be ran as admin, now downloading an update, cannot find any updates or patch notes on the forums, all very confusing...

Thanks old bird. It's looking naff from here. My PC opens about 100 tabs across there different browsers in about 30 seconds and boots up loads of stuff (like photo shop and move is at but later by under a minute) all bar ED which is just crapping out heavily; jammed up in processes, duplicate in taske manager, 0 data and asking if I'd like to regsiter. Tried with nothing else running and similar. Runnind as admin is kinda working. Connects but mouse vanishes and Im running dual screen and if I do something like move over to 2n monito to post stuff it looks like the game get s minized and my fan stars whirring. Danger Will Knobyason

EDIT oh and it has forced full screen when I was playing windows before

Nope !!! You can ever play Through Steam Offline mode , It work fine

Steam Offline maybe because :

They Need time to digest that fine !!!

I had this for a while earlier - I restarted my router and it worked OK after that. Steam is offline too so maybe there are other issues in the netiverse .

Darn Iceman. This is not good news. I have a ton of Steam accessed games. I've always wondered what would happen if Steam got hacked or went belly up or in receivership. Guess now I know.
