No PayPal option and no gifting in shop

I actually wanted to check if we are still able to gift painjobs and the like to other Commanders, which we can't, and found out that there is also no PayPal option available.
Funny enough, the PayPal logo is on the buy button before we actually choose a payment method.

Making an all-new fancy shop with no ability to buy anything on patch day completely baffled me.
Now that I could actually buy Arx, there is no PayPal option...
In my book that's full-force self-sabotaging a new marketing model. It almost looks intentional.

So, question: Will there be a PayPal option, and if the answer is "yes", when will there be a PayPal option?

I feel the same, except that I don't use PayPal. For me it's no Steam, no sale.

On PS4, I buy Playstation gift cards on Amazon (one of the very few places that has my card number) and get my games that way. If a big company like Sony can lose credit card data (they have), then I'm definitely not trusting a company like Frontier (notorious for screwing stuff up) with my credit card!

Oh, there is a Steam Wallet option actually! So you're probably good.

Gitfting would be one store feature I'd be happy to see added, as it'd open the way to player organised competition rewards or events and such. Add that feature and dial back the BUY ARX reminders bolted to every menu. Please.

You know, even with no paypal option, i would buy something, provided i could pay cash money for it, if they would just get rid of that god damned store button.

It really is one step too far. I'm not buying anything until that button is either recolored or (preferably) moved to a more suitable location like Livery.

I think at least one reason they dont let you gift things anymore is so that commanders with multiple accounts can't gift themselves more paintjobs than the amount they would normally get with the ARX limit.

where? all i get is a credit card option.

---> just tried it in Chrome in case it was an ancient-Firefox issue. nope. card only. not gonna happen, Frontier. paypal please.

I thought it was standard practice for any company who wishes to make a sale to make all payment options available.
It’s almost certainly counter productive to enable any barrier to sale.
I have not yet looked at payment options myself, but did purchase some Arx.
I assume the merchandise store isn’t Arx only payable 🤣

Paypal is there... You click add a card, and then paypal will show up along with the available card types.

It's not a clear layout, but yes, paypal is there.
