No place like home, but first I need to stop at a data bank

I've been out of the bubble for over a year now exploring deep space (I think I have the MW all mapped out now - JK); anyway when I left there was no engineers, no CG's, no ability to land on planets, we couldn't even skin our ships. Yeah, I've been gone for quite a while, in fact I have to peek out of a small slot on the canopy as the rest of the ship is held together by shoe strings and ducktape.

So I am very much "clueless", possibly a born-again noob w/ 'Elite class' when I return to populated space...I may even have trouble with the spoken language...I strongly resisted talking to myself while out there which may be my downfall when I get home. 😳

But joking aside, can anyone offer me any advice on where to sell my data, are there any systems/stations/ports that are offering bonuses for exploration data?

Is there a place I can check what CG's are going for turning in exploration data before I return to the bubble?

Who are these engineers?

Ok that last one I figure out for myself, possibly the first two also but appreciate any assistance I could get.

Thanks in advance.
And yes I'll be entering in 'Solo' mode since I have read that the game has gained a few griefers while I was gone and I don't fancy watching my ship explode just from one small laser pulse hitting my hull!

Welcome back, that sounds like it was quite a trip!

Li Yong-Rui power play bonuses can increase your exploration data value by 3x, but that means doing a weeks worth of powerplay activity with all your data onboard.

If you're looking for community goals, the missions board at any station now reports on them regardless of their location.

As for your return to the bubble, I'd strongly recommend contacting Iridium Wing. They're a player group that specializes in escorting returning explorers to safety and so far have a 100% success rate. Even NPCs can be a bit of a threat, especially to a stripped down exploration ship.

If you're keen to look into the engineers there are some that accept exploration data, and that can be used to increase your reputation with them. About 5 million should be enough to go from grade 1 to grade 5 access.
