It's understandable, why moderators put a stop to political threads; it became a slanging match. Decent people that may not necessarily agree.

Since those threads were closed, I wonder if there is anywhere else to discuss things?

I've been darting in and out of left and right. Is there nowhere to talk?

This is a gaming forum. Is there a site that people can discuss our future?

For the record: These forums don't want that conversation. Who can blame them?

Those conversations should go elsewhere, but where?

Yeah, Chris. We all need to be heard. Maybe somewhere else, though. WE may disagree, we may not, but we need somewhere to talk about it?

There are many many alternatives...none of the ones I use would be of any use as they debate Ulster politics only with many being strictly invitation only.

I go there every single day during me morning cuppa...ye think the insults were nasty here? Ye really ain’t seen nothin till ye go onto an Ulster politics forum where the worst of here is just a warmup elsewhere ^

I am really not sure what is the purpose of this thread.
If it is to discuss why politics were forbidden, here, it will get closed. If you just need some pointers to specific forums where you could discuss these things freely, well, maybe someone will chime in and give you pointers.

I'm tired of politics, I just want to sit at my porch sip some beer or do some pinking with my AR15 in the backyard with the kids.

And avoid the social media sites as many of these are monitored by the police...among others. Anything ye say or type, no matter how private and discreet the forum is supposed to be, anything there can be used against ye further down the line.

Genuine privacy is now a very rare commodity which is why the best groups arent on social media at all, and ye may well be asked to prove ye are who ye say ye are before gaining access to some as mistakes have been made in the past by allowing the wrong types in ^
