Newcomer / Intro No power in some modules

Hi All,

I'm having some issues with some of my modules not getting any power. I cant seem to figure out why my DSS wont work when I'm close to a plant. I also can de-activate it in the modules panel.

I'm well below my deployment power do I have the wrong modules?
Notice on the priority they are all blank. I cant change them
I tried logging in and out with no luck

Two quick questions:

What is the status of your ships Power Distributor?
If it’s damaged/switched off/undersized it may be causing issues.

What platform are you on ?
I know PS4 players have been hit with a variety of really nasty bugs since a recent update and it seems to be causing a lot of issues.

It doesn't have a priority setting because it doesn't use any power, also why you can't turn it off.
Was it working before or is this first time you've used it?

everything is active

Are you coming to a “complete stop” (technically you still move at 30km/s) in supercruise before you try to activate it?

It only works in SC and won’t work if you’re still moving, it’ll say “too fast” in red text.
It also only works in “Analysis Mode” (the blue HUD).

Are you sure? Clicking on the DSS normally it is displayed in red and cannot be deactivated.
If yes that is a problem worthy of submitting a trouble ticket to Frontier. On the PC it is in the
launcher/support menu.

1st I've used it
Then most of the time it is something simple.

PC Checklist...probably works for consoles. Note that the PS4 has issues at the moment.
Assigned to a fire group. Is the trigger being used the right one? Does it work for other items?
In Analysis mode (blue).
Within range of the planet flying towards it.
Flying in Supercruise with zero throttle.

Note the DSS will even fire missiles at planets the player cannot land on. Useful for testing.
In the bindings add DSS/toggle front/back (planet) view and exit mode if desired.

All OK?
Logout/login (already done).
Quit game/restart game.
Load another ship then back to this one.
Try it on another ship.
Sell/store the DSS (if engineered) then purchase another.

Hope this helps. If you figure it out post on the thread. It can help another player years from now! :)

None of your modules are using any power. Also, there are no priorities set for most of them. There's no way that the modules can be switched on, but not consume any power; however, you don't show what power the main modules are consuming.

Is your systems capacitor empty?

That's all working as it should be. None of those modules are supposed to use any power, or consequently have their priorities changed.

Shouldn't the heatsink launcher use 1% though? - I know the PDT does but I dinna hae a heatsink thingie fitted on my ship in game at the moment. However, all the other modules in the OP's first image are correct as you say - 0% and of course cannot have a priority set.
