No rain

Hi. I love the game and as a result of the new update and the Artic Pack I started a new franchise zoo in a South American grassland. However, maybe because I'm extremely anxious and would not like to loose my zoo I've detected it has not rained . It is already my twelvth year, so is it normal? I have had another zoos and although I did not check the date, I reckon it rained earlier in them.

So the question would be: Is it normal? Or something is wrong?

EDIT: I have the slow aging feature on, maybe that's the cause of the "drought"?
EDIT 2: My save has crashed twice when I was building paths near construction pieces. However, I wonder if it might be connected with the lack of rain, when the game "tries to rain" it fails and crashes. Might that be an explanation?

I don't think grassland maps tend to rain very often, so you might be fine. My rain forest Ape sanctuary zoo rains constantly (I make a killing on umbrellas!). And my desert map basically never rains at all except on rare occasions. I think its just a roll of the dice, idk if there is a weather forecast system in the game but if not, there should be!

The weather in Planet Zoo depends on what biome you're in. Like Mansarona said, the Tropical biome will feature a lot of rain, but the Desert biome will not, as that's the way it is in real life. It's okay and logical, but, I had another zoo in a grassland biome (but in Africa) which I played for 15 years and it rained a lot of times. On top of that, yesterday I started a new franchise zoo and when they told me that the inspector would get in the zoo in some months, I realized that never happened in my dry zoo which strongly called my atention.

I have a similar issue. After the update, a previous zoo save didn’t load so I started a new sandbox zoo in the North American grassland. I have weather set to random, but not once has it ever been anything but sunny unless I manually switch it. I had a challenge zoo in the same biome and location before the update and it rained and snowed as you’d expect. I also have slow aging on.
