no raw mats on planet

So i was looking for some vanadium, found a good spot at almost 9% with other materials on timbalderis B 1
I drove for 20 minutes in straight line and my scanner did not catch a single blip
i made some turn from time to time to see if i can catch something, but no, dead scanner (i still see the wave tho)

is there a issue with the new update ? if so i need to fill a bug report but i prefer to ask first

I have come across this many many times over the last 4 years. Sometimes vertical in to SC and landing elsewhere on same planet works, other times restarting game, yet other times logging in the next day if I park there.

after boarding the ship and exiting the game, seems to be normal now

If you don't see a signal at all after 5 mins of driving like a loon, there is nothing there(bug I guess)
