No receiving Permits for Ranks

I have Fed rank Ensign but I haven't been given any of the associated permits for any over the Ranks along the way. Xbox Series X

I’m glad to hear there’s a bug in ranks, I thought I just didn’t understand how it works.
im listed as a squire but can’t buy Courier and no Archaren permit.

Is it what you're listed as or what you are? There is definitely a bug in the displayed ranks right now. Were you a Squire before the patch? If you do rep missions and get a Navy mission, what rank does it say you get promoted to? This mail will be accurate, but your displayed rank will not be.

It's most frustrating not knowing if you're at 100% or not and not knowing if you're ready to be looking for a Navy promotion mission.

There is a display bug in the ranks. It’s showing you a rank that you aren’t. Therefore you aren’t eligible for the ships/permits etc because you’re not actually that rank. Need to wait for a fix.
