Newcomer / Intro No Route Available...I JUST came from there......????

I traveled a few jumps and went to Sun Takush from one of the systems around Eravate.

I found some clothing in Sun Takush that I needed for a quest so I bought it and when I went to plan my route back...there were no routes available????

Anyone who can shed some light on this extremely confusing predicament? :S:S:S

Thanks in advance for your help!

Didn't see an edit button on the forums, sorry for posting again.

I was trying to plan a route back to Frigaha, I've been there before, and came from there...just not sure why I can't go back. I'm currently sitting in LTT 18486 in MacArthur terminal.

You have too much cargo/fuel on board, and with the added mass you cannot make the jump. Use some fuel or loose some cargo, or change to D rated equipment temporarily as they are lighter.

Good luck and Happy Hunting!

Thank you very much Pappy! That was it! Unfortunately, the 4 clothing with even 1 bar of fuel was too much to get that one jump so I had to sell it all back....I could have made it with 3 clothing and 1 bar of fuel but the quest needed 4...figures lol.

Thanks again!

Sometimes tasks/missions are tricky like that in the game.

You will need to pre-plan your task, and usually in the form of changes to your ship.

Get used to re-outfitting your ship and finding suitable spots to do so before settling in to doing missions or Community Events and the like.

Once you have progressed far enough, you will be finding yourself flying ships that you used to own, or have thought about purchasing, but never needed to before - - just to do a mission that you only need to to for a day or .. an hour.

Yeah, I'm currently still in the loaner starting ship so my options are limited. So far i've been doing missions to get 44k so I can buy the Eagle so I can go out and fight pirates. Finally got enough just now so hopefully I can start making better money :)

Keep in mind that your fuel also adds mass to the ship, so jumping with a full tank could be just pushing you over the limit in this case.

Unfortunately there's no way to manually drain the tanks, but if you jumped out of the system and back it might lighten your fuel load just enough so you can make the jump to your destination with the 4 units of cargo. Can't guarantee it, but it's worth a try.

Other than that - time for a bigger drive :)

Clothing is produced by either industrial or agricultural economies, I think. Eravate would be the natural first port of call - Ackerman Market or Cleve Hub.
