No sound from my Oculus Headset....

Well I findely got Elite Dangers running on my Oculus Rift and I am so blowen away with it. Wish it was allitle clearer but my big issue is no audio is coming out of the headset.. Any ideas?

I am using an video-port to HTMI connector on my Alienware 51 PC. Audio works fine on other games with my Oculus.

Have you tried right-clicking on your sound icon in the system tray (lower right corner) and under "Playback Devices", right-click again on the Rift and "Set to Default Device"?

I have to switch between my regular speakers/headphones and the Rift in this way.
