Newcomer / Intro No System Map shortcut???

I looked in the controls and didn't see anything. Am I the only one looking at that screen all the damn time to see what station offers what?

Also is there a way to print out the control screen? Is it stored in a text file somewhere?

AFAIK there's only shortcut for galaxy map. I too needed systems bind for exploration but failed to find it as well.

\Users\Your user name\AppData\Local\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Bindings
Custom.binds is the file you are looking for. You can add additional .binds files if you are planning on experimenting with controls. The newly added files will be displayed in game controls presets drop down menu.

I find this frustrating too, would like to be able to open the current system map with a single key. While exploring it's a bit of a detour to open the galactic map each time.

This... and being a keyboard only user at times it is a hassle for me to have to defer to the mouse.

You don't need mouse.

Left Panel (1) -> Left -> Down -> Space

I can do that is under a second.

Or bind to a macro button and do it even faster

Horizon's adds this functionality. You can now bind a hotkey to the system map and the Galaxy map.

It's been there for over a year, it's just unbound by default if I recall correctly.

this is a good link for printing off your control/binds file, there are pre defined binds or choose your own from your pc and print it or screenshot it
