No Thanks..

So this is an odd one, - perhaps one of those situations where you expect more, and end up getting less. Distress calls are always a good option for mixing things up a little. A fuel transfer limpet and a handful of cargo space is all you need. So far, I've yet to have a single person thank me for rescuing them. Sure, in the real world, not everyone's going to be polite and courteous. But at the same time, you fill them up, and wham, they're gone. Nothing. Not even a "cheers!" or "hey, catch me at the bar an I'll buy you a drink!" or even, "Go see X at Y station, there's a reward waiting for you, - you have no idea who you just rescued."

Could the voice-over crew not be bothered with a couple of extra lines or was it already past home-time? A mile wide and an inch deep.
If you accept the rescue mission that appears in your top-left comms panel, you'll get text and voice messages from the ships, including thanks for your efforts. If you're also not hearing any voice messages from the stations then you may need to check your audio settings to see if you've muted or turned down the volume of the NPC chatter.

The lack of audio thanks is when you go scan for signal sources and find a distress call manually. I've never been offered a rescue mission while in space.

No it is not.

Here is a video of me today doing a refuel at a distress call signal which I detected using the FSS - no missions were involved. If you are not hearing the NPC audio as in this video then you must have something set wrong.

So, the NPC provides audio at the BEGINNING, thanking me for coming to the rescue. But then provides NO audio to say thanks after leaving. I'm struggling to see how you're capable of not comprehending this other than being a gigantic troll. My audio settings are the default.

This thread is a good example of a 'bug' which 'fdev should fix'. Except it's not a bug, it's a confused CMDR. Which is quite common.<sigh>
As is the inability to understand what's being discussed. There IS audio initially on entering the SS, just no audio when the NPC is departing. I'd like add an additional <sigh> here too, but that's probably overstating the obvious.

Okay - I took the trouble to go out and do a rescue so as to video it and show you what happens. There is NPC audio at the beginning, then when you accept and then as they leave. You either didn't bother to watch it all, or you have some sort of issue where you have to complain about something and then refuse to admit you were wrong. Then you have the temerity to insult me when all I have done is try to assist. Avaunt!

OP was also complaining stations wouldn't take to them, I'm spotting a pattern...
That is a separate bug introduced with the new docking computer. Remove the docking computer, voices come back. Are you intentionally being obtuse or is this just your way of deflecting any level of review for these issues?

And that's the point, you enter the Distress Call SS, THERE IS NOTHING TO ACCEPT. There isn't a message. You verbally get asked to assist, with audio, then at the end, there's no audio. I feel like there's some kind of mental schism going on here. Why is this so hard to comprehend.

At the end of the sequence the NPC says "Thanks Commander. I hope I can repay the favour someday." I really don't know what your problem is.
