No warning of server going down for update, on these forums

This morning I started checking the forums, and only seen the regular message at the top:
"Right on HalloweenWeed, the 2.2 update, Guardians is now live. Click here to view the patch notes!"
So imagine my surprise when I logged in to the game, started accepting timed missions, and then seen the
'25 minutes until server goes down'
warning!

There was? patch note post?

There is a post noting the incoming patch in the....

patch notes sub-forum.

Granted it's in a place that's the board equivalent of down in the basement, via step ladder, in a cabinet with the helpful words "beware of the leopard" written on the front.

You didn't happen to check to see if there was also a notice about a hyperspace-by-pass being built did you?
