No win scenario.

I've faced interdiction plenty of times in SAassist and never had the throttle go to zero.
My build twin 2F gimballed pulse lasers and multi-cannons, a rail gun in my huge hard point. Got all A's in my core. I saw a build with 4 x pulse lasers and a multi-cannon in the huge hard point, thinking of trying that.
was not a fan of engineering either, but without you don't stand a chance.

look at your shield value:
  • 1000 is enough for a fast ship (>580ms) to escape
  • 1500 is good if you want to fight and have thermal resistance boosters
  • ~2000 is okay without thermal resistance if you fight NPC groups.

That build just blows my mind. I mean, you shouldn't be getting instagibbed in a FdL anyway, but i've got to see the build now.

Also, the moment you drop out of interdiction, boost boost boost.

I'm still thinking network glitches, but twice is a bit bad. I'm willing to think it may be a cheater with some sort of instant interdiction effect and instant deployment of weapons... but i've never heard of such. At the very least they should have to deploy their weapons.

Depends how you've keybound your HOTAS.

I'd an issue after buying my Thrustmaster, when my Ship suddenly started jumping to a System then throttling down to zero instead of staying at 75% throttle. Took me age to realise that the Speed slider position had been moved down from it's normal central position, causing the drop to zero.
Maybe that's what occured for the OP in this case.........not that Iv used the SCA feature.

The other day I was shot up a few times by a wing of 4 - a few elite corvettes and others but my hybrid G5'd Krait Mk2 survived for a bit and a got a few rails into them not that it helped haha.
You need to engineer that sukka.

Doesn't sound like a cheater to me. Still don't know if they had standard or bi-weave shields, or what class. They had a class 2 railgun in a huge class 4 slot! A fully engineered FDL plasma murder boat would turn that basic FDL to dust in seconds. In the heat of battle 5 seconds can feel like 1/2 second, so we only have their word about timings.
I'm guessing no reactive armour and not many HRPs (due to having things like super cruise assist and I bet a fuel scoop too and maybe even a docking computer). A lightweight FDL hull on it's own is paper thin.

My take on this is flying a very poorly specced FDL, using super cruise assist while not paying attention, against a G5 Maxed out plasma boat ganker...this was only going to end in tears.

The other thing to check is your comms panel and look at the Cmdr tab. This will show you all the Cmdrs you have met and at what time. If you killed them, or they killed you, there will be an icon against their cmdr name. This will give you closure of whether it was a human player or not.

☝️yep, this.
im not saying its 100% guaranteed, but had the OP fitted small seismic charges he wouldn't have died.
Only if fitted in the huge slot.
