Nobody loves the Federal Drop(out)ship...

Does anyone like this poor fellow? Anyone own one?

All other ships seem loved and hated in equal measure with people having strong interesting opinions on why their beloved craft is the best. But the Federal Drooper doesn't even to seem to generate debate!

I'm happy and keen to be 'put right' on this so if anyone has any love for it please feel free to berate my ignorance and harsh uneducated judgement!

The Dropship and Orca are both meant to be "passenger ships".

We don't have the passenger mechanic implemented yet.

Have no idea why they decided to put the ships in before the underlying mechanic to support them still isn't there.

Cheers lads!

I guess the obvious answer is to try one for myself. I've owned everything so far except the Dropper and Clipper. I've not yet disliked any ship, finding them all good within their intended remits/ limitations.

I have one in storage. It is quite fun to fly, but as you have stated without any cool troop transport missions (I want to drop marines from orbit to conflicts on planet surface) available it is not my prefered ride.

I like the look but I'm not a fan personally, my buddy however loves the ship.
i would as well if armor was useful and it was a tanky brawler. Sure in the right hands it's amazing look on YouTube but it's just not my jam as it is right now.

Not sure if he'll highlight it, but fanatics was twitch streaming a hilarious bit of him trying to pirate in a dropship without shields (although with many many hull upgrades). It proved somewhat worthy until a station battle ensued.
