NON existent PvP

I am surprised this game have no PvP at all, its a great game so far but its lacking in PvP i'm aware of players who don't care about PvP and they want to play alone/co-op which is totally fine but it doesn't mean to leave PvP players out totally, lot of players out there bought elite dangerous for sandbox + PvP, including me, i am really hoping in future there will be some type of PvP areas in game i mean just a few stations for us PvP players won't hurt, does it ? simply people who want to do PvP may enter these PvP only zones and players who don't want can continue enjoying singleplayer/Co-op without any need to enter the PvP zone :), i know PvP players are in minority right now and i think its simply because there is no efficient/fun way to engage in PvP, I'm sure if they implement PvP lot of players out there will enjoy this game more than they are right now, Plus they will never get bored, no matter what PvP is always exciting and new each time you try it (atleast for me), I'm really hoping community and developers will support this suggestion.

What you're describing is the classic model for PvP within PvE games. WoW has battlegrounds dedicated to PvP for example, with no or almost no open world PvP occuring (at least not anymore) and the conflict revolving almost solely between players.

The reason why you probably wont see it is that it doesn't fit into the overarching idea of the game, in that it's progressive and massive - you can ignore the 400 billion stars trope but even the populated galaxy is magnitudes larger than any other online milieu, particularly in reference to player density. You will see scenarios appear that involve a PvP element (Intra-system conflicts spawning conflict areas), but they are unlikely to be persistent and will heavily constitute an NPC element.

What is reasonable is that we will see more mini-games within these temporary environments - like the Imperial Cap. ship encounter we've had in recent weeks, I can see other PvP "friendly" mini-games appearing as FD develop them - it'd make sense in terms of conflict "development" and "world" progression. But they wont be static, it wont be like going to Warsong Gulch in WoW when you fancy a bit of PvP action, you'll have to stay abreast of galactic affairs, discover where the next war is brewing and fly over there to participate - it wont be like queuing for a battleground.

Aside from these conflict intensive scenarios, you have the standard open world PvP, but this (due to player population density) is neither predictable nor frequent. Even in the War scenarios, you will find yourself fighting far more NPCs than players.
