Non Federal Stations, Outposts, and Bases

It just occurred to me that the weaponry protecting bases of all sorts, and presumably megaships (dunno, never saw one shoot), is all based on the same weaponry seen on Farragut battlecruisers. Federal laser batteries, and broadside batteries.

Shouldn't Imperial stations, outposts, bases and megaships all use similar armaments to the Imperial interdictor? Namely imperial interceptor cannons and heavy rail drivers.

Shouldn't Alliance weapon installations be different again, if only subtly?

Frankly, by using weapon colours that are now purchaseable, these turrets, and those on capital ships, could be coloured according to military alignment.

Federation is the standard, imps just want to be special. Besides, imp capital ships aint that stronK like the feddy capital ships.

Hahahaha.

I would love to see an Alliance station open fire with RETRIBUTION LASERS.

OMG! I could make tea for dozens of CMDRs at once if I got stuck in the Toast Rack.
I could call the Fuel Rats and they could send someone out from Colonia to fix me up with a 1E healing laser.
Maybe they could give me a top up each time they did the Old Worlds rares route.
