Non-human companions for explorers?

It's a big lonely galaxy out there. Hard to find a friend willing to travel 1000+ jumps with you. That plus you have to feed them. Explorers are a different breed IMO and thus should have different equipment geared at exploration accessible to them. So with that, I would like a robot buddy on my travels. A droid geared towards exploration maybe. Maybe program way-points into your ship (something ED doesn't have), or some other menial job so a droid can act as something of a module without having to sacrifice a ship slot....just the co-pilot chair. Im so lonely and there is no one around...:cry:

We need a real copilot, human please, not hot seat into the pilot ship on longer journeys, share a ship with a friend, and transfer the piloting to him, meanwhile I can plot course in navigation computer. Real co-op.

True, but it doesnt serve the more misanthropic among us. Are there players willing to share a ride to Beagle Point and back..something that has taken me weeks?

BTW, I made it to BP, now headed to Sag-A to throw myself into that black hole and call it a day.

I have thought of that. Im still pretty new to the game so Im still figuring things out but would not a carrier serve that purpose? Take along some players that want to travel and explore long distances? Not sure of the logistics involved in obtaining or maintaining a carrier, so we'll see. Maybe some more experienced players can comment here?

Mate, if you mean a sexbot just say. We won't judge here.

(Note - in on of the original novellas the explorer had to have a strict no voice interface with his ship or he ended up falling in love with them)
