Not one for bragging, but couldn't resist this little snippet, particularly as my own stupidity was rewarded. 
Was in my ASP Ex (exploration fit-out). Ran into a Non-Human Threat Level 7 USS, so dropped in for a peek. It was wild. Two massive Thargoid ships attacked me straight away and one let loose some sort of proximity blast (like a big fireworks display) which knocked out every system on my ship. I'm left spinning aimlessly without engines until the systems reboot. Then HW out of dodge with the Thargoids hot on my tail. Shields stripped and ship cooking.
So what's the takeaway:
Stupidity - Dropping into the USS in an exploration ship.
Bragging - Getting out alive (just).
Lesson - Don't try this unless you really can HW out under fire.
Regret - Not getting an instant replay video (will rectify this for the future).
Recommendation - Do it the first chance you get!
