Non-Steam, non-Epic linked account ... how do I pre-order?

I can't seem to find a way to pre-order with Alpha access for my original account, which isn't linked to Steam or Epic Games. Pointers in the right direction welcome!

It's odd how Frontier seem keen to point potential customers to Steam, but indifferent to their own shop.
