Noob FD mistake. Now I'm stuck in space!

Having just returned to ED after a long break, in anticipation of the Odyssey release. I had forgotten the importance of making sure you have the appropriate grade of FSB for your ship and fitted it with the wrong one. I tried returning to the same station to buy it back, but it was gone. As a result, I'm now resorting to flying by Suprercruise alone between Gliese 58 to Byeri, the closest system to allow me to buy the proper 4E FSD for my Cobra MK III. This journey is going to take me about 72 hrs.​

I was hoping that a passing dev could help an old guy out by having my ship spawn at Byeri. I've tried self destructing, but I always end up back at a port that doesn't sell 4E FSDs. So I'm stuck with a 3 ly jump limit. I've also tried filling in a support ticket. But it's not receiving submissions for some reason.​

Roth Station has them.

Bailaud Dock has that plus the 4B according to EDDB.

You can't be in between them, you have to be in one of them, unless you are in a different system. Look on your Hud - lower left - and it will tell you what system you are in.

That is the very basic, heavy, poor performance one that comes with the ship.
Anything else beginning with 4 is better than that. Get a 4C or 4B if you cannot afford 4A to get going.

Alternatively, look at your Nav Panel (left pane) under the word 'Navigation' is written the system you are in.

The proper one is 4E, I think.

That is the stock one that came with the Cobra, a 4B will be fine.

I think if you are actually in Gliese 58, and fly to Baillaud Dock and buy the 4B (you'll be able to trade whichever one you have now) you'll be good to go. Maybe.

The stock FSD that a Cobra MkIII has when bought is a 4E. A 4A would be the best possible FSD that can be fitted to a Cobra MkIII.
