Noob, Pirate Battle, "not accessible from the Park Entrance"

Basically, nothing is accessible from the Park Entrance - not restrooms, not food, not drinks, etc. I've looked everywhere I can and I can't find the park entrance. What looks like the entrance is a path coming out of the ground and going around the body of water - where you can't build anything anyway.

I've seen Park Entrances in the tools, but it seems to me that I'm already in the park, or the roller coaster wouldn't be there.

Any hints?

Thanks!

This is the first of the Career mode scenarios. What little I played of pre-1.0 did not have scenarios. I just fooled around with creating a park a bit.

I guess the question becomes: for Career Mode, Pirate Battle, should I be creating a Park Entrance at or near the pre-existing roller coaster's entrance and then create paths and rides? Or am I supposed to ignore these messages - because I can finish the scenario with the messages stacking up about things not being accessible.

Not true. I have deleted no path. Have you tried the Career mode? Pirate Battle is the first Career scenario. There is a path coming out of the ground that leads to the roller coaster that already exists and there is a path basically on the other side of the coaster where one ride - a Rocktopus - exists. No formal entrance anywhere. I'm not required to create one for the scenario, and there is no place for an entrance that makes sense. I can just create buildings, rides, etc. on the existing path and extend the existing path. All goes well. I can complete the scenario, but I'm bombarded with these "not accessible from park entrance" messages. I've completed this scenario three times now... but still, the messages...

That path coming into the park from underground has a "special" tile right?. The one with the Golden Diamonds right?.

Id be happy to check it out for you if you like.
Go to "My Parks" Upload the park to the Workshop and then send me the link via PM.

I checked on that path beginning - at least as much as I can see. And yes, there are diamonds on the path. Clicking on them brings up a window in the upper right that says Park Entrance Gate or some-such. So my assumption that it is the entrance is correct, I'd say. I have no idea why I would then get that message as there are no breaks in the paths to the rides and buildings I create.

I saved and went to My Parks but I find no way to upload a save to the Workshop. I see no such option, I'm afraid. As a matter of fact "Workshop" appears nowhere that I can find. Sorry I'm ignorant as to how that works.

Yes, I've tried the first scenario, as have thousands of people. There is no built-in issue with the path not connecting to the rest of hte park. [wink] Are you absolutely certain you haven't accidentally deleted anything?

I will happily save and upload my park somewhere so someone can check for me.

I start the scenario from nothing, plant buildings, add on to the path, connect entrances to the path, connect exits to the path - and get messages about how the restrooms, drinks, etc. aren't accessible to the park entrance.

[ugh]

What about other parks? sandbox?

I just completed the second scenario. Got 1,000 guest, added workers, at least 5 rides, etc. People come and go to all my buildings, rides, etc.

??

It's attached to the path on the other side.

Anyway, the one that was centered was the one the message was about.

LOL, there are entrances on the back side of the other buildings, too.

I had no idea!

That seems to be the deal. I wish something gave you a clue other than close visual inspection. Otherwise, you put things down, inspect, delete if not what you want, waste cash. I guess it will come with better familiarity with the game. Anyway, that seems to be my whole problem.

Thanks!

The building you have drawn a red circle over has two toilet blocks that are not connected to a path. That's what the game is upset about. They're on the opposite side of the building to where the path currently is.

Yup. Looks like there's a few Restrooms inside the buildings that are not connected to a path.
Option 1 is to ignore the message.
Option 2 is to connect a path.
Option 3 is to edit the building and delete the offending Kiosk/Stand/Bathroom.
.
Don't worry. I have this happen some times. I forget what Blueprints have active Kiosks in them and place them down as just scenery.. then get hit by those same messages until I remove the bathroom/kiosk/stand.
