noob question regarding wings!!!

As a seasoned Vet now with elite I guess I should know this, however I have only just finally persuaded a bunch of mates to meet up in the game in a wing (yay)

one has only just started and is in the base ship. IF we go in a trade convoy, I believe everyone gets a 5% boost in trade profits.

is that percentage based on the total profit of the run, or is it 5% of the individuals amount?

ie if i make million profit in the run, but my mate in the sidewinder makes 1k profit, will my mate get 50 credit bonus for completing the trade in a wing or a 50,000 credit profit?

Like you, I have little experience with wings but when I winged up with a mate for trade I was getting 400,000 CR plus 176 CR from him. He was getting 3500cr plus 20,000 CR from me.. I don't know how it would work out if there were more than two in the wing. Remember that you both have to be in the same instance to get the dividend. The first time we did it, I sold my cargo before he arrived in the system and he got nothing.
I was in an Anaconda, he was in a sidewinder.

wow so if there were 4 of us, the amounts would really stack up!.

you must all be in the same instance to get the 5% share , no need for all to dock in the station but you must all be at the station instance
all wing members must be there , not in supercruise or in an other system

when we trade with 3 annas and 1 escort , the profit can mount up to 250 000 cr per station as bonus for all 4 members in our wing

You also have to have flown together in a wing with your cargo between the buying and selling systems.

In one instance when I was wing trading the UI bugged out so I couldn't sell my stuff. I had to restart the client. I rejoined the wing and sold my gear but no one else got the trade bonus.

Well I got on with my mates last night. Fantastic stuff.... the 1st hr was a comedy of errors, the guy who was new to the game had to learn to fly, all he had done in the past was fly to a few stations and ran out of fuel.. I got to use my refuelling device on him however which worked a treat, and gave him 4 tones of rares to give him a 100K leg up (sadly he blew one of them up trying to scoop) but it was enough for him to get a hauler

after that we were like the 3 stooges trying to jump together - I didnt realise you had to select who to slave your drive to, and after that you let the game activate your FSD)

and at 1 point the game got confused and gave me and my mate docking permission at the same pad so it desynced us and put him in another instance.

but other than that it all worked quite well, and our 2nd hr in game ran smoothly.... so if anyone saw a python, a T6 and a hauler flying very badly in tandem.... then I send my greetings and hope none of us clipped you or got in your way when docking
